Hello, I have question for eveyone. Does anyone use the weathertech mats and cargo mats inside? I'm trying to side when I do go buy one what to do for mats. Wether I use the stock ones or what. Any suggestions would be nice.

The stock ones are nice in that the driver's side hooks into place. However, the tradeoff is that they are also quite thin and you will wear a hole through it within a year.

We bought the "all weather" mats through Pontiac for the winter, and she never took them out. She likes them better than the carpeted ones. We also bought the mat for the cargo area, and have been very happy with it (along with the nets).

i have a set of all weather mats from Walmart i think...they do a good job

i have a set i ordered from weathertech.com. the pair for the front fit quite nicely, but the rear set needed a little trimming. the mats they sell for the rear seats have a series of ridges in each of the top corners that are designed to be cut away (easy to do with sharp scissors or a utility knife) for a better fit. i've had mine for four or so months, and i've been quite happy with them. fyi, with these mats you'll want to remove the hooks for the stock floormats. there aren't corresponding holes in the weathertech mats, and you might break 'em off if you leave them on under there. they just pop right out of the floor w/ a little force.

I got a set of WeatherTech mats last week for my 2006 base Vibe. I was dissapointed in the incomplete coverage on the passenger side. The drivers side fit good and covered well. These are tough boogers and will not wear out soon. I got a set for my wifes car 2 years ago and they still look new.

I got some tough "weather tech like" mats from Walmart back in 2001 and although I've had a couple of cars since then, I still have those mats and they are currently in my vibe. It was the best purchased I've made for car accessories.

I bought the most expensive all weather mats at Walmart they work great.. 3years now and they are only a little dirty.. but they done the job 1,000,000x better than the stock mats in the winter cheersoh if you have Weathertech pics I would love to see how the mats compare

what about the pontiac all weather (rubber) ones?

I always buy the sample carpet squares for winter use. I trim the driver's mat to fit around the dead pedal, and the passenger side fits right in w/no cutting. Then, in April, once the snow's gone, I throw them out. You can usually buy them for $1-$2 a piece. Beats hell out of paying what they want for the Weathertech mats.

oh dang that is a good idea.... but what kind of carpet? if it was berber or like that boat/deck stuff it would work out good i bet..but standard stuff might get sorta soggy.

I usually buy the standard plush stuff. And I am in the habit of banging most of the snow and crud off my shoes before I get it, so they really don't get that sopping wet.

I have the heavy rubber mats you can get from Sears or K-mart. They hold a lot of melted snow and if you pick them up carefully, you can pour the water out at the end of the day.

Had weathertec in my suv. They are nice but kind of spendy.Got nice all weather mats for the Matrix at Sears on sale, less than $10They are a nice fit and weight.Watch the ads.Sams Club has some also.

I purchased the huskyliners floor liners for the front and back, and I love them full carpet coverage from corner to corner and the rear runs right across the entire floor and the best part is the ends all come up so for any salt and snow to get on the carpet you would need a few inches of water.

I'll second the Wal-Mart mats option. I bought a set of 4 heavy-duty ones for maybe $20 (U.S.) and then put the OEM carpet mats in the trunk as a makeshift cargo mat. Now I don't have to deal with the annoying sound of items sliding around in the back and the car is much easier to keep clean inside... it is also safer because snow doesn't get ground into the carpet mats (creating a slippery area when using the pedals).

the OEM mats are soo cheaply made. i wore a hole in mine in a year. by the time we traded it. there was a 3" diameter bold spot above the clutch.

Although i think I will be going to weathertech for the cargo mat. If not I will do something custom back there.

Understood completely. I work in IT, as well and with the commute that I frequently make, there was one area in particular where the driver's carpet mat was starting to wear down from where the heel of my shoe was. The rubber mats are much more durable and will hopefully last the life of the vehicle (hopefully years and years from now).

I use the Rubbermaid mats that they sell at Target. Best $29.99 I have spent! I love them because they have deep treads that channel melted snow and rain water to the sides. Then, the entire mat is surrounded by a 1 inch-deep moat of sorts, preventing any of the water or melted snow from getting on the floor. I have to dump them out maybe twice a week. Love 'em!
