Tbere is no such thing as overprotection...

As we all know, I have a crappy track record for collisions with wildlife -- primarily, deer.Back when I hit a deer only 48 hours after buying my car, I decided I needed to get serious about repelling or warning animals of my presence. The first product I bought was this: Frankly, though inexpensive, this thing is a pain in the rear to use. To activate the audible mode, you have to go through an absurd powering sequence, and it sometimes takes 5-6 tries to make it work. I usually give up trying to get it to work and just drive home with it in ultrasonic mode.Browsing my favorite auto gadget catalog the other day, I spotted this:It's a laser cannon! It shoots deadly laser beams at any deer, or person, who dares cross my path when I'm coming. Never again will I be in a collision! Oh, and it makes fantastic french fries too! Nah, but seriously, it's a different type of electronic alert. Not able to resist a product that seems promising, I bought it. About twice as much as the other product, but I have 120 days to return it if it blows. So I installed the actual device today, but have not yet wired it up. I located it under my front bumper: I'll post back when it's wired up with a review...

That thing looks like it should go rat-tat-tat-tat! LOL! Yes, a full review is in order for this one there pal! Hell, I should probably consider something like this too. I've had too many close calls and I do a crapload of driving in areas where those rascals are out thick, even now.

I dunno about this one... Looks like a hose barb to me... I have read those older plastic Deer Whistles sold in the 1980's did not work, hope you did not pay much for it. Is it heated for when snow gets packed into the end! Will be interested to hear if it works. No flame intended here, just comments...

I am lucky I havent hit a deer on the hwy between duluth and the twin cities considering the number of times i drive it! Let us know if that works...you'll have to drive by a deer farm to scare them for fun!

just remember you have it there and don't pull right up on a curb because you'll knock that thing right off.
