Tranny FINALY done!

Well it only took a month to rebuild and upgrade the auto tranny. And every time I asked how much i'd get the run-around.Drove it around town on a short trip. Yeah the ECU needs to relearn everything all over again. And I have to go back in 10 days for a check-up. I'm just happy to have my baby back home. The tranny is now built up to hold 500hp! Don't think I'll get that much out of it. And it only cost $3100. I also got a 12/12000 warrenty with free 'tune-up' since the tranny is adjustable.

Good to hear, and you are right Northvibe, but according to those who built the S/C you are not supposed to need to upgrade anything else.

Sorry, no pics. Everything done was on the inside. Custom made torque converter and adjustable performance shift/rebuild kit. Not sure what company they used. Something out west (cali).Yes I do have a tranny cooler. A big one. About 1/3 the size of the radiator. It fills up the lower bumper opening and then some. I can get pics of that for ya.Level 10 will do exactly what I had done. But you have to remove EVERYTHING and send it to them to rebuild. Tranny and tq converter. I think with shipping these HEAVY parts back and forth that the price might be almost the same. Maybe a little cheaper, but you won't have the 'local' guy to tune it and tweak it for you. And if 500whp isn't bullet proof enough, I can't imagine what is.Been driving it all night now and things are starting to come together My curiosity got too bad and I had to mash the gas just a couple times to see the differance. Whoah! Cool! It makes a new whinning noise from the tranny and I forgot how loud my s/c was. I'm still grinnin' You can almost feel the tires groan for traction.

Good man, glad you got that sucker beefed up. Now when you give it hell, it may stand a chance at living a while longer. What did that change with the transmission's overall behavior? What's i shift like now?

nice lancer, yea I really dont want to ship my tranny out. My friends dad has worked on trannies so I would probably try to make him do it and pay him a bunch, but I heard getting your torq converter beefed up was almost a must. Lancer your still planning on the vibe meet in August right!? oh yea hows the shift kit feel?
