I would like the Rav-4 a lot better if they got rid of that ugly outside spare tire - perhaps equip with run flats and skip the spare.

I wonder how well run-flat's world work the one time someone took one of those slightly offroad? lol! Not like that will ever happen, it doesn't even happen on larger SUV's but they have to keep that under consideration. They can't win, if they put it inside the thing everybody'd be *****ing about it taking up precious cargo space. If they put it outside, aesthetics take over. I guess they could put it underneath like a pickup but I'm sure there's stuff around keeping that from happening too. I wonder if those are fuill size spares? I think so, or at least bigger than the damn donuts if they aren't... Hell, I'd make many sacrifices to have a full size spare.

the only vehicle an outside spare looks good on is a jeep wrangler (or something similar), imothe sides of that concept look almost exactly like a Vibe.

Hell, I'd make many sacrifices to have a full size spare. Not on the 2007 RAV4; they're thinner. My wife has a 2001 RAV4 and it's a full-size spare.

I carry around a can of that fix-a-flat or whatever it's called, as well as a 12 volt air compressor. One or the other would work for 90% of the flats.

The back reminds me of a Lexus RX330.
