I'm a happy camper... I finally got GM to repaint my bumper and rocker panels after 2 months of fighting with them. First they tell me I did it with my shoes.. Yeah I had nothing better to do so I stood on the edge of my bumper.. So after rejection from the dealership.. I called pontiac.. of course at first they sided with the dealership.. Then I wrote a letter to Pontiac Headquarters.. 7 days later I had a meeting with the zone manager at the dealership I bought it at.. After that 7 days later I was getting my bumper and rocker panels painted.. I also noticed that the 2005 lava vibe does not have a clearcoat on the original paint job.. Now it is much smoother and really shiny..Now time to take some pics..

My rocker panels are really chipped up too, right where my door meets the top of them. Wonder if I can get them painted too? Of course it is probably actually from my shoes hitting them in the winter to knock the snow off... but they don't have to know that.

Well thats how mine is... but i dont even have side rockers. and mine is from clippin it with my shoe... but come on i dont just kick it for Ss and Gs!!!! i have like at least 6 chips on my side then 3 or so on each other door.It sucks. but i might get the side rockers to cover it

Got mine repainted under warranty (though tried to me it was my shoes too) & put 3M clear protectant over them since repair paint jobs are usually weaker than factory paint.
