I just read that Ford is going to start bringing their Aussie Cars to the US. Sweet!

Hopefully Ford has better luck getting these silly uhmerikans to buy this stuff than GM did with their last import from Oz! Nobody wanted that poor GTO. Somebody needs to import those spiffy lil' El Camino slash Ranchero style trucklets, dangit! I'd love to see Holden's version make it over here, those are sharp!A lot of nice, unique vehicles to be found away from this soil for sure...

Under 25k too, if I'm not mistaken..I can't imagine a thing like that NOT selling. He also had a Falcon for a while, along with a turbo Elise and let me tell you..when these cars come around, Rick is my best friend

didnt the Falcon originate here?!?!? i cant remember if it did or not but we did have a Ford Falcon before back in like the 60's i think.

Yeah i was reading up on all these cars on Carand Driver the other day. Pretty crazy that focus is an inline 5 cylinder and is turboed pretty sweet if you ask me its a 5 speed i believe. but its pushing about 230hp something like that cant remember but go read it up oncar and driver i wouldnt mind having that focus and i dont like ford or the focus lol

It is the baby blue one in the back left corner. Aussie cars are very cool, it is like the sixties over there. A lot of performance cars. The weird thing is when I was over there, you rarely saw people drive pickup trucks. The Utes are about as close as they got unless you were a farmer or rancher. There were SUV's and such, but 80% of the people drive cars. The exact opposite as over here it seemed like. I drove a Dakota at the time and the guys I was staying with were awed that I owned a truck with a V8. LOL

Yes, the Holden Ute! Oh god, the SS Ute.... DROOL! I'd never drive a truck, so if I were going to drive something with a bed on the back, you'd bet it would have to be one of those things. Bring the Ute, GM. That would be great. I've attached pics, from the very blah utilitarian one to the SS.

Yeah, I was thinkin' about that last night, a name change for the US market would be essential, as Joe Pesci in My Cousin Vinnie has effectively ruined the name here. lol!
