Yes, and good use of the "search" button will reveal all. Now that I've tried the search engine myself to no avail, here's the Coles Notes version: the 17" tires and the moonroof don't mix for safety reasons. Apparently, Pontiac is addressing this design issue for future model years.Perhaps Nick or another admin can give a little assistance as to the most effective use of the search feature of this forum.

Nothing official telling us why, only rumors and speculation:http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id ... 756Another rumor is that the 2005 models will be available with both the moonroof and 17" wheels. However, like I said, it's only a rumor.

17's are readily available on the internet, so if you want both, get the moon and tunes package and retrofit your car with the 17's later...

You can order the stock steel wheels and add aftermarket wheels and tires (what I did). You could even go larger than 17" that way. Plus, it's usually cheaper. The factory 17" wheels are an $800 option and you must buy the $500 ABS brakes to get the wheels. That's a total of $1,300. I bought my wheels and tires (with shipping and chrome locking lugs) for a little more than $1,100. Also, the factory 17" wheels are available on the Internet in places like http://www.eBay.com and http://www.takeoffliquidators.com if you really want the factory wheels.

also, www.wheelmax.com is running a promotion on 17's w/tires and free shipping for about $750 in our size (215/45R17).
