New - North Central Meet Loction Poll - Vote here

Vote for the location you would like to meet:Option A: Edgewater Park has freestanding grills and picnic tables available on a first come first serve basis. We could get a spot and people could bring their own chairs, I have a couple dining canopys that we can set up in case of rainy weather and we could do a potluck sort of lunch where each person brings a food item for everyone to share to help spread out the cost. Hopefully it will be a nice day for the meet!Option B: Have the Meet at Cabela's in Owatonna, MN.(30 Miles north of Albert Lea) They have a large parking lot, on location restaurant, nearby lodging and more. Here is the info: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas...pdownWhile Option A would be nice, Right now, I'm kinda leaning towards Option B. since it would require much less work involved due to time constraints. It's a little farther north but will be much easier to find and with hotels almost across the street. All the info is on the Cabelas link I posted. Let's try and make this as fun and stress free as possible. Choose the option that works best for you.I'll let the poll run until the majority have voted then we'll make the final decision at that time. Thank you for your patience.

Just behind or west of the Cabelas in the Hotel is a nice water park for anyone who has kids, plus it has a Green Mill Pizza. Also just south of Cabelas is an empty building with a huge parking lot where there used to be a museam. You can't miss it it still has three jets pointing towards the sky. Then just north of town in Medford is a huge outlet center for those shopping junkiesThen if anyone wants to take a drive and head east there is the Hubbell House. Some of the best and oldest dining in southern MN.Here's their link: http://www.hubbellhouserestaurant.com/

Great Info, Lenny! The Museum parking lot with the 3 jets would make for some great photo shots.I forgot about the Medford Oulet Center - that place is huge!Get your votes in so we can finalize the 1st Annual North Central Vibe/Matrix Meet!

I voted Cabela's too, just because I don't really care. It's a little farther drive for me, but not THAT bad. I just want to hook up!!

Quote, originally posted by zionzr2 »I'm in for Cabela'sExcellent, Thank you Bill.So far it is Cabela's(10) and Edgewater Park(0) - (8 votes and 2 IM's)Here is some info about Owatonna, MN:According to legend, Chief Wabena heard of curing waters at a natural spring in what is now southeastern Minnesota. He moved his tribe there so his frail daughter, Princess Owatonna, could drink from the spring – and her health was restored. Today’s residents and visitors still enjoy the rejuvenating effects of a pleasant town full of history, attractions, parks and family-friendly activities. Built alongside the Straight River, the city is now convenient for business and leisure travelers thanks to its location at the intersection of Highways U.S.14, U.S. 18 and Interstate 35. Architecture buffs won’t want to miss the Wells Fargo Bank, with stained glass, gold leaf arches and murals - so stunning that the building was featured on a U.S. postage stamp. History lovers enjoy the Village of Yesteryear, which includes 11 buildings and a caboose dating back to the 1850s, and artistic types flock to the Owatonna Arts Center and Sculpture Garden, a Romanesque building housing numerous exhibits. And don’t forget to take a healing sip from the bubbling waters of Mineral Springs Park, where a statue of Princess Owatonna serenely stands watch.Factoid:Cabela’s, located in northwest Owatonna, is the world’s foremost outfitter for fishing, hunting and outdoor gear, with 150,0000-square feet of retail space. The store attracts 4 million people a year, making it the second most popular attraction in Minnesota. (The first is the Mall of America in Bloomington.)Visitor Info: http://www.ci.owatonna.mn.us/attraction ... pWikipedia Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owatonna,_Minnesota

There is something just fundamentally WRONG with that. More people go to a stupid hunting store than go to look at BEAUTIFUL Lake Superior or the Boundary Waters or anywhere along the North Shore?? And what about the big spoon? The Spam Museum??? The mind boggles.

The mind boggles. Yes your right, there is something wrong but at least when we go to Cabelas we aren't disappointed. Unlike Wall Drug and the Corn Palace. God was I bummed after I had gone out of my way to see the Corn Palace. Plus don't tell anyone how nice it is up on the North Shore leave it all to me. hehe.

Who knows. I would love to scoot down on my bike cause I just love riding it and my Vibe is nothing but stock. I'm coming down there to meet you all and to see all your cool mods. If it's really hot and my wife comes maybe we'll take the Vibe and then I'll treat her to the Hubbell House for dinner. My wife's from Owatonna so we've seen all of the sites a hundred times.

I'm hoping my boyfriend will come with me--you know, like a body guard--and maybe we can go out to eat too. My Vibe is bone stock too. But maybe the guys will install a new meaner sounding horn for me.

I wont say which is better but being from missouri I do have a small bias.
