Got hit AGAIN

Saturday was hte Gratiot Cruise (kinda like the WOodward Dream Cruise but smaller). I cruised one lap and then parked my car at my great aunt's house on a street right off of Gratiot. It was fun, lots of awesome cars. My friend and I stayed about 3 hours until we had to head off to a grad party. I walk into the house and my uncle says "hey did you see it?". I say "see what?". "Someone hit your car!". I'm like "haha yeah right that's funny". Then he said "no I'm serious" and he handed me a piece of paper with a phone number and name on it. I walk outside, furious, curious, and excited at the same time. I'm thinking "I hope he hit the rear bumper cause I need a new one anyways, or maybe he hit the front bumper, the paint is dinged up so I could use a new one. What if he hit the doors or crushed my new hood, heads would rolll. So I walk out there and look over the car and I don''t see anything wrong which was a relief. Then I look at the rims and the front left rim has a big gouge out of it. Oh great no my alignment is probably shot. I wasn't that mad because I wanted to get new rims anyways, and he actually stopped and gave my aunt and uncle his number and driver's liscense number. I'm going to call him up later with an estimate from the dealer and see if he wants to pay me personally or go through his insurance.ANyways, it could have been way worse and I'm totally confused as to how he hit just the rima nd nothing else, in a pickup truck. Here are pictures. Excuse the dirt, I just got home from a trip.I appolgize ahead of time Damron, now not only will you be lookin at stock 16's but stock 16's with chips and gouges in them

Well, I drove up to Clarkston and the ride was fine so I doubt anything was wrong with the alignment and all that. I will call him and see if he wants to pay me or go through his insurance. I'm not gonna botehr with insurance if he is willing to pay me the cost of the rim. I dont want aftermarket rims anyways so I may as well use the money for that. All of my stock rims are chipped and screwed up so one brand new rim would look ratarded with all my old crappy ones.

You think so? I thought the rims were made from aluminum. Aluminum is soft.

I agree with silverawd26, get the alignment checked just in case.

Something seems fishy here... Merzbow, you been beating your wheels up simply so you can have an excuse to get rid of those "ugly" stockers so everybody here will STFU about them and leave you alone since you'll be able to get something aftermarket? LOL!Seriously though, like what was mentioned earlier... Go get the car checked out NOW! Who knows what kind of damage *could* be there, maybe a lot more than an alignment - or maybe not. Never hurts to be too careful.Hate to see the damage, I like those wheels! Good luck!
