What a great idea. I use a set of ramps because my driveway is gravel. They look a little dangerous but no more so than jack-stands.

you still use jacks stands don't you? it looks like it in the pic. I don't have the room to store the big thing but I'll bet it workd great.

(removed)!!!! First my wife would kill me if she saw me under that! Second, my wife would kill me! Third, I would kick my own azz if I attempted that! No thanks, great thinking but I will stick to ramps, jack stands and floor jacks! A good friend of my moms first husband was killed because a car fell on him and no one was around...

well with all that wood why not make a "VERY STRONG" set of rhino ramps... ones that are high enough for the purposes you need and that are wide enough for the car and more so safe! you could also reinforce it with jack stands to ensure it can hold the weight of a car.*personally it seems safer then a teeter tottering car "lift"

I will donate some balsa wood for anyone wanting a death wish!Would not do a lift like that ever.. But also the car he had on there is very light..
