I got an update today; after ordering on 5/12, I called the dealer to find out the status. I got a confirmation that it was "in production as we speak" and it should be here before the end of July. I guess I"ll miss the $1000 "cash allowance" (mentioned on the Pontiac website; which says take delivery by 7/5. sniff....) but hopefully they'll have an even better offer by the time it gets here! After putting most of the 2400+miles on my Mom's Frosty (and I STILL haven't mastered the glass/hatch key unlock/lock yet!) I'll finally have my Neptune.

That's good news! And I never did figure out that whole glass/hatch deal even after 74,000 miles

Yay! *Crosses fingers that it will make it to Hawaii before July 5* You never know...it might. Mine was delivered about 3 weeks before the estimate.

I'll turn the key, intending to open or lock the hatch and I'll hear the glass pop open and I'm like "DOH!!!" Usually several misses and many swear words before I finally get it right

the reason (i think) that we have not mastered the hatch lock thing is that on the other doors the key turns clock-wise to unlock and open the door, and on the hatch you have to turn Counter-Clock-Wise to unlock and open the door. Turning clock-wise only pops the window.
