Sad good-bye to old ride (NOT THE VIBE!!)

I never thought I'd be doing this, but I had to sell my '91 Ninja 750R F4. It was the very first vehicle I ever bought and was my only mode of transprtation while serving in the Marine Corps. I bought it new with the money I saved while serving over in Desert Storm. And it was the first bike I ever rode. The sales guy/mechanic had to show me how to ride in the back parking lot before I could take it home.I used to take weekend trips with my buddy (had a 600 Katana) through the mountains in Tenn. That bike has allways taken care of me and always kept me off the pavement. After the service I joined a Ninja club and we went riding all over the place with my best friend and his 600cc ninja, (sold his and got a Fatboy). He and I would race each other to fire/rescue/EMS calls. I think we even saved a couple people because of the quick response. One little boy that got hit by a car and a code blue we went to cause we were close by. And we saved a gas station from burning up cause we got there right away and put out the fire that was lit in the bathroom.2 or 3 years ago my bike was caught in a down pour and some water got into the fuel system. Little bit of rust or something wrecked the #4 carberator some how and I was never able to fix it right ever since. But I still held on to it, hoping someday I would have the time and money at the same time to fix it right. Well, now with the Vibes tranny shot and the peeps I was trying to get a loan from would only give it to me if I let them take over my car payments (only a couple hundred left) so they would 'own my car for only $400. I don't think so! So I needed the money and the guy I sorta know with the SRT-4 needed some cheap transportation while his srt-4 is rebuild. Some idiot pulled out infront of him with a F-150 and almost totaled his brand new srt-4 he won in Vagas just a couple weeks ago. He's a mechanic, his fiance' is a bike mechanic so I know my bike will be taken care of and riden the way I used to ride it . And he only lives a couple blocks away so I'll see it often and even get to ride it sometimes.I think I'll always regret doing this. I miss her already. By the way. This is probly the only 'crotch rocket' you'll see with the exhuast on the left side.Good by old friend...

That's too bad to hear I agree with everyone else... I thought the Vibe was gone.

I'll never sell the vibe! It'll have to self destruct or be totaled some how before I get rid of it.My daughter wants to have it when she gets her drivers permit. She's only 10yrs old! I can't imagine what it will be like by then?
