Personally, I wouldn't even put those on my car, and I really don't care about my car that much anymore. I don't know what you drive, but if you have a GT I'd strongly advise against them, I've just read one too many stories about aftermarket pulleys destroying the oil pump and in turn, the engine...

I think there have been issues with aftermarket pulleys and the Vibe oil pump. Save your money, it might be worth something someday.

I actually had both pullies , crank and alternater, available for the base vibe. I actually loved them! They DO make a noticable difference in city driving (not huge, but noticable). A tad faster off the line and much better throttle response. I ran with them both on for almost a year with no problems. Very easy mod to install and not too expensive.

if it's applicable, try some bosch +4 spark plugs. they will give you more horse power, but at a cost. it will take away fuel economy.so weigh the factors:1) more horsies or2) lessened fuel economy (about 2-5 mpg loss)

I am really curious how you determined that spark plugs can increase horsepower at the expense of mileage? The spark plugs only serve to ignite the fuel/air mixture that the engine management system provides and does not affect the ratio of the fuel/air mixture. A good spark plug will efficiently ignite the mixture.....or a bad one can innefficiently ignite the mixture.....they can't alter the fuel mixture. If a spark plug works well and ignites the mixture efficiently you should get both good power and good mileage. If the spark plug is worn or defective and does not ignite the fuel efficiently you should get less power and less mileage. In round numbers you want 14 parts air to 1 part of gasoline for good mileage - you want 12 parts air to 1 part gasoline for maximum power. Back in the old days of carburetors we would change jets to alter the mixture - today you can change the factory settings on the engine management system with performance chips to richen the mixture and alter the ignition timing for more power - but changing spark plugs alone will not increase power and reduce mileage. If you installed some spark plugs and lost mpg......you were driving around with your foot on the loud pedal more and used more fuel...or you made some other improvements at the same time that increased the air flow in the engine. Improvements to the intake and exhaust systems for better flow should also improve mileage if the car is driven the same as before the changes were made.....however if the improvements result in more horsepower as a result of the better air flow....your mileage will go down if you decide to use that extra horsepower. When you increase the amount of airflow in and out of the cylinders the engine management system will increase the fuel flow to work with the increased air flow - the oxygen sensor and mass air flow sensor will see the increases in flow and will adjust accordingly.Dave

While you're at it, be sure to take out the rear seat, remove the console, the door panels, and every other bit of interior trim. I guess you'd have to leave the dash and driver's seat. lol! Then throw 500 pounds of stereo equipment in the back. That seems to give kids today hundreds of extra horsepower. lol!Seriously though, only other thing I can think of is to trade to something with more power if power is that important.

Give me an amount of money your willing to SPEND and I'll tell you what can be done. Colonel has a good point actually. I did take out everything one weekend and it did make a huge differance! and that was before the s/c. Can't wait to do it again with it now!
