WOA! $3995 for the base vibe. honestly i would have a shop install the turbo, cause theres so much you can screw up. but this is freeking ausome. 75-100+ whp??? kinda hard to believe, but i used to have a turbo diesel. and (removed) it was amazing. is there anything else that can be used for turbo? are all of these kits around 4 g's? i heard that they are troublesome and your engine breaks down... i dont think this is true, but is it??

i might just maybe have my custom turbo up for sale. you need to make the custom intercooler piping but i have all the pipes necessary and bends. turbo is a garrett t3 super 60 turbo. only reason i might be sellin is because im auto and found out i need to spend another 1500 on beefing up the tranny. Not looking foward to it. The kit will go beyond the 200hp mark. i was looking to get about 250whp at what psi i dunno know. i might just build up the engine instead. but the kit is for a 1zz engine and comes complete with everything needed included an emanage with pressure sensor and sensor harness and inj/ign harness. probably selling for around 3k shipped. just a feeler though.

Been out of the loop for awhile, but I didnt think they could turbo the 2ZZ-GE engine?! I take it you lose the valve switch and start with what a base vibe HP is?? Very interested in this!

you can turbo a 2zz and not lose lift, just fine. many people think the high compression of the 2zz poses problems. but there are a few xrs matrices and more than a few gts celicas out there with turbos. hass and c2 both have kits.

Well, if everything comes together, there may be a Vibe GT with a turbo this coming summer.

Does any one actually have a Turbo on GV? I know the differences of Turbo and SC, but which does every one here like more, and why? I personally like SC better, cause it's a more constant power, and not just a high end. Esspecially for the Vibe that already has a little extra Kick at high end, but the low RPMs need that extra punch. What does every one else think?

both Devlop and Faultline were silver base vibes.Devlop sold his last year while Faultline still has his Stafford set up and running pretty strong from what we can tell. there is also riotrix who has a turbo on his XRS and 06XRS in Montreal that did the same. depends on what you want to do with your car: for daily driving power a s/c is the way to go.... power in just about all gears and rpms. if you want power in the upper ranges, than a turbo will allow you a LOT more power than a s/c not to mention a lot more OOMPH! both are expensive set ups, the s/c seems to be a little less though but not without people still having problems (even if it does come from the factory). having said that, if you go either way, have a pro or a tuner shop do the install so it's done right. then get yourself good engine management to tie it all together. most people who screw up their car (not including out right abuse) is due to the ECM in their vehicles not knowing what it's supposed to be doing. LOL.that goes with ANY car you play with. just do it right and you'll have a lot less worry and more time to enjoy your new found power.

Beautifuly put. I know if I got one I would want a SC. I would get a Turbo if I "raced" around more, but I don't go fast very often. Just want a little extra go when gettign into traffic and things like that.

well, speaking of turbo's... looks like i will be going a totally different route w/ my LGT now. I got a smoking deal on a full STI conversion set up so by Spring time, I should be another LegaSTI auto. the turbo will spool up very quick and I shouldn't see virtually ANY turbo lag whatsoever (i don't have any turbo lag now... 2500 rpms and i'm in boost)once you go turbo or F/I, you just can't go back! only thing i'll still wish to have is my 6MT again (i miss my Vibe GT) and rear folding seats. However, by June, I will just swap out vehicles for the day with Phil since he should have his STI by then.

That is awsome, you will be smoking along now. I love STI anything. My and my Fiance (only 2 weeks until we are married) always argue cause she loves the EVO's and I am a STI fan.... Even though we can't afford either. lol.

well at least you can both share your love and appreciation for cars. i think i am guilty of loving cars more than the hubby, so he is the one to remind me to stop modding every once and again. and i've driven the Evo 9MR and it's a beast! i've also driven the STI and it's a beast! both are impressive vehicles, but time and time again it comes down to reliability and the dealership here locally. the Mitsu dealer sucks and will void just about anything while the subie dealer will work with you if there is a problem. that's huge imo. but, i hope riotrix shows up again because he had some awesome numbers to show off on his turbo'd xrs! I would really love to see a turbo'd vibe GT though. had I still owned mine, I would have jumped on the bandwagon.
