Are there any superchargers for the AWD?

There is a Supercharger for the Base that will fit on the AWD but it will void any warranty you may have on it. Both GM Performance Parts & TRD have the same 1.8L Supercharger for the Vibe & Matrix.Welcome to GenVibe.

from what i have gathered the GM one only fits the 03 and 04, dont know if other companys make one but there are turbos availible and will give more gains

Correct. But the '05 & '06 AWD still has the Cable throttle like the '03 -'04 Base Vibes. So the S/C will fit on the '03-'06 Vibe AWD models.

This may sound like a dumb question, but why would a turbo/supercharger "kill" my AWD?

the AWD components aren't stout enough for the extra HP. A few of the 'trix guys ahve done it anyway, with varying results....Varying from blown engines to no real problems, as long as the blow-off valve is set low....

it has been said that the drivetrain can't handle the sudden jolt of power from a turbo. the SC is ok on the AWD because it's not a huge increase and it's constant.of course, anything is possible if you have the $$$beef it up and you can do what you want.

dude drunkenvibe. The awd trix/vibe can handle a bunch of power! There have been 3 or 4 supercharged trixes running about and they were fine. There is also a turboed guy, his trix is perfect. We have the Celica auto tranny so our tranny is actually stronger than the 2wd one. The only problem is the connection for the awd riddle. People have said that it might break but it hasn't broken on any car yet.

There have been a couple people that have blown their engines but that was because they leaned it out too much and didn't tune properly. It was not the cars fault. The SC IS safe on the awd trix/vibe. And a turbo is safe at low boost. If you want to run high boost get your tranny rebuild by Level 10 for $1,800. And you will be good for up to 450whp (if you change the internals of course)!

you don't say?i knew the SC wasn't causing problems. i remember that greenfire dude had his AWD matrix kicking serious (removed). (before the engine blew)the problem with the turbo is that there might not be a problem and hasn't been one yet]. that just isn't good enough for me. i guess though, for those that have the cash to turbo theirs, they probably can afford some oopsies too.i tried getting my gf to sell some of her eggs to get me a SC, but nothin' doin', she's soooo selfish!

hahaa, yah i have tried to get money out of girls for my car... never works! haha but yah Greenfire was using the split second controler to control his SC and it got too lean and the engine blew. The turboed guy was doing fine, but then he stopped posing and nobody can remember his name. No idea where he went to... but there are currently two awd trixes that run with a SC, they don't post much at all, but whenever they do they say all is well.Basically when I boost i am gong to start a fund just to fix a problem for when it accures down the road. :-)
