I thought I read on here one time there is a setting for this or something. Anyone else hear of this fix on a 2006 vibe. I tried a search on it and got nothing.thanks

Thanks again for the great info! I'll give it a shot on mine. That SOB is annoying as h#$$. They could have gone just a bit more overboard and hooked it to the horn. I can tell you first hand that tinkering with the buckle switches will get you a air bag light and a B1650 PPS malfuntion code LOL!

mine's an 04, the seat belt warning lights blink, but it doesnt beep - has it been un hooked (not that i mind) or did the 04 not beep?

The '04 didn't beep.

my beep in my 03 does not work.......if u leave the lights on or door ajar.....i think it just up and dies....cant even hear it at all anymore...anyone know where the "beeper"is so i can fix it?

The buzzer is soldered onto the gauge cluster, upper left side IIRC. Little black round piezo buzzer is all it is. BUT since it's on the cluster, you're going to have to either replace the cluster or desolder the current buzzer and put a new one on.

I had an '04, that's what I meant. Try driving a few blocks in a newer Vibe and you'll know what beeping is.

I just replaced my battery on my 05. I had to dig out the sheet I printed off to stop the beep. It works.
