ok, i listened to the new tool album this morning on the way to work (drunkengirlfriend got it from some guy at work) and here are my feelings:i waited for all this time for a new album and this is the crap i get? sure, there are a few good songs on it, but most of it is some bongo beating stoner trip out BS. usually, i like the way he incorporates some psychedelic crap that transitions into a rock out. i kept waiting for that to happen, but it just mostly ran into some more spaced out weirdfest. there are literally like 4 actual songs on the album, the rest is above mentioned junk. i think there were 11 tracks total. save your $17, find someone who already has it and "borrow" it.

yeah, you know the stuff that littered the last album which sounded kind of like some tribal stuff? yeah, that's running rampant on this album. i must say though, the 4 or so actual songs are pretty damn good.

They are coming to town around by me, and tickets went on sale last Saturday morning-fricken things were sold out w/in a matter of minutes. Stupid slow dial up couldn't even compete!aw that sucks! went to their concert up here a few years ago. it rocked! the mosh pit and crowd surfing was awesome! (not to make you feel worse since you can't go )um.... maybe i'll have to get the songs then. but i'll probably still end up buying the CD as well as the new Godsmack one that just came out.

I really want to hear this CD. I have a lot of psychedelic weirdfest on vinyl. (boy, those were the days...)

I've always liked Tool in the past and I'm kind of all over the map when it comes to music. well, tool albums usually grow on me, so we'll se how this one turns out. i can't gripe too much i guess, i got it for free. (and before it was released)

limp's first two cd's were pretty good. (the first being way better than the 2nd) however, the sellout bug hit them hard, and fred durst officially sucks now.

i like it. been playing it at work. not all the songs are my fave, but it is definitely TOOL through and through. however, i find it funny that there's no "EXPLICIT LYRICS" label on this one. even Walmart is selling it!

Quote, originally posted by northvibe »be good long distance driving music.that it is. my drive to work is 30-45 minutes, so it helps that the songs are long as hell. a lot of it grew on me too. i really like that song where he says "you must have been high"
