My new ride

So I wanted to get a second car to take to work. I am planning to get rims for the Vibe soon and the neighborhood I work in is not the best so this is my new ride!1991 Ford Taurus GL wagon with 3.0 liter V6.Only 71,000 miles and it is in perfect condition minus some rust and scratches on the body. The hole in the muffler makes this car sound like a late 60's muscle car lol. When it idles it rumbles and makes grumbling noises like a '69 Baracuda or something. MODS SO FAR -chrome liscense plate frame with tinted shield-took off roof racks-xm radio-plastic compass-giant Teddy bear that's been in the car since purchased brand new in 1991 by my grandpa.-bought some autozone fog lights since the stock heads are not bright but I decided to return them and keep it original. FUTURE MODS -Borla muffler to replace the rusted out one and retain teh sweet sound.-Chrome nice looking exhaust tip-MAYBE a CD player but XM is satisfying the music needs for now-ATLEAST one 12" subwoofer or two rens to improve the old audio quality (even though it has premium sound system it is def. not premium compared to today's standards.I spent 4 hours yesterday cleaning it out and washing it. Had to go through about 5 years of dust that accumulated on it lol. Paint still shines though....I'd hate to see how the Vibe's paint will look after 16 years (removed)! Here are some pictures:

Thanks! I figured I'd stick with the wagons. This car's roof line is about 5 inches lower than the Vibes btw, even with the S-Techs.

HAHA...what do you mean family discount?Insurance on the Vibe dropped to almost below half of what it was, since it's now secondary car. So basically I have two cars and insuracne for both is only about $10 more per month than with just the Vibe...

The Ford V6 is a lot more thirsty than the Vibe. That's a great utility car though.

We had a 89 taurus, was a great car and a nice v6, we may have still had it, but some jerk hit my wife and totaled it and then took off. But at least she was ok.

Your new ride has low miles for sure!Put an exhaust on it with two tips straight out the back. Either a true dual or one pipe that splits off to two! Shave the rear door handles and tint all the back widows! Here is my Taurus story...Working as a Valet many years ago in college at a Country Club. This cheap guy had a four door Tauras, 5 speed with a 4 cylinder! Yep, it existed!!! The cheap (removed) NEVER tipped us too!

i once saw a taurus wagon that was converted into a truck of sorts! the back was sealed off from the passenger area, and the rear hatch was gone. it had a sport net thingy where the hatch was.

lol, you shure it wasnt one of those Holden Utes or whatever they're called? lol they kinda look like that.I originally wanted to get dual exits for this car, there is plenty of room to do it, but I am concerned with teh pipes bending and not being level like you see on grand prixs and stuff sometimes. It would definately look sweet though with two 3-4 inch tips shooting through the back bumper straight out lool...Maybe I'll do it.Check it out:
