Has anyone out there solved the problem of having to unplug the Sirrius (Xact) adapter when you want to put it in reverse- what a pain!

Usually we'll wire in a seperate power connection behind the dash. Run out to radio shack and get a 12v connection, it's about $6, and hardwire it to either your radio wiring, or tap into the existing 12v outlet power, then use some electrical tape to solidify the connection and hide it behind the dash.

Poor placement of the 12V outlet IMHO, of the AC outlet also. I picked up a triple outlet with switch at Target that I plan on hiding under the dash and hard wiring it to the existing outlet.

Thanks for the tips but wiring is not in my vocabulary. I'll print this and take it to any audio shop unless you think it is really to do. This is how little I know about wiring: it doesn't matter that it is Sirrius not GM compatible XM does it?

Or as was said, a power splitter with a wire that lets you relocate the splitter itself. You can have things plugged into the outlet and still get into reverse, you just want them to be as small as possible.
