Hello everyone - I was wondering if anyone has put dual exhaust on their Vibe? I am interested but I don't know which way to go. Any suggestions? Or is duals a bad idea for the Vibe? I was looking into Magnaflow but ofcourse it doesn't come in Duals...BTW I have the '03 GT.

theres a couple people that have done dual exhaust on here. they look good too!I guess one way to go is a high flow cat to resonator, then you can "Y" it off to 2 mufflers or "U" shape it to the 2.I dualled it... went from a high flow cat to straight pipe till it "Y"d off and it went to aftermarket fart cans... sounded ok but too much gas gave it that ricey sound.

Freestyle has dual. We allways cruise togather. He stops by the site every now and then but I'll post a pic for you.It sounds really nice. Also is custom so you would have to make your own dual exhaust if you wanted it.

Magnaflow does make a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlets for Camaro and Firebird. It mounts crosswise like the Vibe muffler. You could probably use the stock outlet pipe for the left side and you would just need to make a pipe for the right side.

I seen a picture of that Vibe before - and that was when I decided I wanted Duals for sure. I wasn't too sure if I could buy everything or if it would have to be done custom - By the sounds of it no-one makes the set-up so I will be going custom. This is the "fart-can" I am sporting right now: (Sorry it's not the best picture to show it, but it's the best I have right now). I have had it on for about 2 years now - I like the sound it makes. It's nice and deep, but I do get pulled over for it, so I was hoping that I could get duals and have a similar sound with smaller tips.My biggest problem is that the body shop wants an arm and a leg to make the matching "lip" that is on the bumper. Does anyone know of any good shops to get this stuff done at in Alberta? I will travel pretty much any where in the Province to a GOOD shop.

i forgot who did the dual's but i know they made a template and cut another part out of the other side for the 2nd pipe.

sorry for sound dumb but how exactly did you get that "fat-can" on? did you have to cut and weld or buy and install?

It looks good even without the lip like on the stock cut-out. I wouldn't spend the money to have a body shop make the lip on the bumper. Use the money for more performance mods instead.

Nascar: Basically cut off right before the factory muffler (so it is removed), and then just replaced it with pipe up to where the new muffler/tip are, and yes it was welded.Sunny: I don't think I would do it unless I had the bumper molded, I don't like to do something to my car unless it is done right. Otherwise I would rather leave it factory.

Me personaly I would make it a dual but also consider the piping size and the type of muffler tips you get, some of those exhausts out there sound crappy. Good luck on that man I am considering doing it myself

I put a dual exhaut on my vibe..Its a corsa exhaust from a Camaro...you can check out the pics on my site athttp://
www.cardomain.com/ride/2219643 or the file attached as a good picture as well..The problem is its to loud, I need to find a way to quiet it down. I got pulled over in January and got an excessive noise ticket for the exhaust. Fought the ticket and won..but then I got pulled over again tonight...I showed the cops the decision from the court and they let me go without a ticket..but Im sick of getting pulled over...all I need is a cop with an attitude and he sees my nitrous and Im toast....Nitro
