If you do have the amplified system, I'll go right ahead and say that you'll want to find a speaker level converter. That needs to be a sticky somewhere around here, I've been here for a long time and went to install an aftermarket radio after 3+ years and still didn't know the deal with that. In a nutshell, you're factory amplifier is best suited for having a low power input coming from the radio, such as what the factory radio puts out. With that said, once you put any other radio there, doesn't matter what since it will probably be far more powerful, you'll end up with some undesireable characteristics. So you need the "speaker level converter," "factory amplifier interface," whatever they may call it to attenuate the output from your snazzy new radio. I have this one and it works well although I didn't care for the construction of it and the screw terminals. It does do a great job at doing what it is supposed to do though. Your ears will thank you.

Generally yes, if you can afford to do so. Most stock speakers are nothing more than cardboard and paper, and won't last long when paired with a more powerful aftermarket unit (pretty much anything aftermarket is more powerful than stock)However, if you have M&T (with the factory amplifier, that'd be under the passenger seat if you have it), replacing the speakers will be more of a chore.

Since I have the M&T could i replace the six speakers and keep the factory sub and hook them up to a aftermarket HU

I wouldn't need a another amp for just the speakers?

if your just replacing the stock door speakers with a lil better ones. you shouldnt need to use another amp unless you blare your music and push the AMP really hard.

What are the size of all 7 speakers

You can fit 6.5 / 6 3/4 speakers in the doors. The sub, I believe, is an 8 inch.You'll need the speaker fit adapters for the front doors, or gut the existing doors and use the outer frame of the stock speakers as a mount point for the new ones. The rear speakers can just have the rivets drilled out and yanked, and you should be able to simply mount the new ones to the metal of the door.
