Cargo cover improvement possible?

That cargo cover is a pain to remove and then replace. My old Jeep had a window shade type of system. Just remove from one end and it rolled up automatically. Pull out when needed. Has anyone had any luck with a better cargo cover for the Vibe?

I agree. I think that cover was a real copout on the part of Toyota/Pontiac. However, I don't believe it'd be too difficult to rig someting up using a standard grey window shade from Lowes, Home Depot or Walmart, especially since they can be cut to fit. Maybe I'll put that on my project list.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but don't know how I would attach the shade to the two hooks. Typically, a shade has a "prong" at each end that pops into a slot to hold it in place. Once I solve that problem, the shade solution will work. Any ideas?

Well, it's not a shade-pull style cover like you're speaking of, but we have been looking into designing a hard cover:

Very interesting design. However, I am trying to eliminate the removal and storage of a cover, so I think I'm going to continue to look into a shade type device.
