why size drop are you guys using on the drawbar to tow a jet ski? I'm thinking about 1.5", but I don't know for sure. Thanks

My trailer has 12" wheels so the drawbar has a 2 1/2" rise to make the trailer level.click to enlarge

OUCH ok your sig is painful to watch... poor girl Anyway for the hitch just make sure the tongue weight is not exceeded with the trailer and jetski. And I wouldn't recommend using the Vibe to back the trailer into the water.

The thumb rule is 10% total of trailer wieght on the hitch, i.e. loaded trailer wieght is 1000# you should have 100# tongue wieght. Place your bathroom scale under the hitch using different lenths of 2x4s until you get the 10%. You may want the trailer to be level in tow, so adjusting the jet ski on the trailer (front to rear) may be necessary.Having the correct tongue wiegt sure makes towing/handling better.Don't forget to check the torque of the receiver hitch mounting bolts occasionally, unibody cars flex enough to loosen them back up.
