Anyone else had the air intake tube by the battery destroyed?

My battery ate it up, being constructed of fabric, the acid got to it quickly. My solution was a piece of PVC. Worked like a charm and will be there forever.

just buy a short ram intake or a cold air intake... that way the tube and filter are no where near the path of the killer battery!

thanks for the note. I am not sure if it could get warm enough there to cause a problem- It does get fresh air through it. I'm also not sure if the gas be toxic to the engine, after inhaling petrol, I seriously doubt it.PS: I thought I was the only one who liked to get in dumpsters!
