Does anyone know of a website or other resource I can look up to see if specific tires are directional or non-directional.

Welcome to Genvibe! You can usually tell by looking at their pics of the tire tread.Directional (my favorite tires - Falken Ziex ZE-512): Non-Directional (my Vibe's oem tires Continental Touring CH95):

the sidewall of the tire will also have an arrow pointing in the direction of travel...so if you can get to a tire shop...you can see firsthand.

I know everybody likes the directional tires but my problem with them is that you can't criss cross them. Before everybody getson my case, I realize the owners manual says not to do that but I'm willing to bet that if you don't, the tires on the passenger side will wear faster. I'll take my chances with non directional tires and criss cross them. I have Eagle RS-A's. I'm only at 15K miles so far but I think I'll get more balance wear this way. Plenty of good non directional tires are out there.
