Vibe info isn't very clear and I haven't found a dealer who knows what are the Mp3 capabilities of the 2006 sound system option.1.Do either or both of US8 or 6 disc CD changer optional systems play mp3 CD's?2. Do either or both of the systems have an input jack for an mp3 player? The Vibe book infers the 6 disc changer does but other online info does not.3. Why when I price out a Vibe online with the 440.00 US8 upgrade (which says it includes the U65 Monsoon features), do I still see a separate U65 option with a price of 290.00?I'd appreciate any help from 2006 owners. I doubt '05 models would have had the mp3 jack but maybe they do.Thanks!

I have this posted under accessories but no response so I'll try it here.Vibe info isn't very clear and I haven't found a dealer who knows anything about the Mp3 capabilities of the 2006 sound system option.1.Do either or both of US8 or 6 disc CD changer optional systems play mp3 CD's?2. Do either or both of the systems have an input jack for an mp3 player? The Vibe book says the 6 disc changer does but other online info does not. I've looked at one and couldn't find a jack but one of the buttons has AUX on it like there is an auxillary input.3. Why when I price out a Vibe online with the 440.00 US8 upgrade (which says it includes the U65 Monsoon features), do I still see a separate U65 option with a price of 290.00?I'd appreciate any help from 2006 owners. 1. US8 (1CD upgrade) does play MP3s, but 6CD does not.2. None have an input jack for an MP3 player. There are AUX input adapters that you can install for the 1CD only (doesn't work on 6CD) for about $100.3. Don't know.

Is the AUX adapter a dealer install or an aftermarket non-GM thing and will it work for mp3 players? I've been to 3 Pontiac and 1 Toyota dealer and non of them have much of a clue about this or the rest of the Vibe or Matrix options for that matter. Kind of discouraging when you just looking for a little more detail before dropping 20 grand!

I too have been struggling with an upgrade for my iPod. The best I have found is the drive and play.
http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm...il.doDoes anyone have this? Are there any other options?

Kind of discouraging when you just looking for a little more detail before dropping 20 grand! The AUX adapter is an aftermarket. There are generic ones like the PAC AUX-BOX, Peripheral AUX2CAR, and a PIE one as well. by "generic" I mean they allow you to select the AUX input and hear audio from any line-level or headphone output, but have no head-unit control over the MP3.There are also iPOD-specific devices like the iPOD2Car, iCruize, or iPAC-OEM that give some basic control through the head-unit.I have an AUX2CAR - the install is fairly simple, and the sound is great.
