Actually, I watched my mechanically inclined buddy put one on in less than hour. He is a past president of a big Prelude club in the DFW area and now owns an S2000 and he is going to be the president of that club. He's a great guy. He's restoring or atleast putting an '88 Prelude back together from pieces. Anyway, before I get into my thoughts on the intake, anyone in the DFW area, he'll put the intake on your car for $50. He's going to start a speed shop on the side. He's an electrical/hardware engineer as a primary occupation. E-mail if you're interested coreywells01@Hotmail.comOkay, thoughts on the intake. WOW!!!! WOW!!!! WOW!! I actually feel some low-end torque pickup from this thing. It's unobtrusive at low rpm and light to mid throttle. You don't even know it has an intake. Cruises just as quiet as before....but give it some throttle.... WOW!! Once it hits lift, it starts this honking noise that sounds very sweet, as it winds through 7000 rpm to 8200rpm, it starts this RIPPING sound. I don't know how to describe it. It's a very, very, very sweet sound. Really a nice ripping sound, I've been in Ferrari's before and I hang around a very diverse group of guys as I own a modded C5 Vette, but this sound is very, very nice. It's a ripping howling noise, I absolutely love it!! I have a bad feeling my gas mileage is going to drop dramatically as I want to keep it floored all the time, I slowed down a few times on the freeway, just so I could rip through 2nd and 3rd gear again. Winding through 4th gear puts me in triple digits and I don't have a Valentine One radar in my Vibe, only in the Vette. I may need to get one for the Vibe. Anyway, this mod is very, very worthwhile!! I ordered from Adventon, they delivered as advertised. About $217 SHIPPED. I've had a Prelude VTEC, a '97 model and had an intake on that, it didn't sound as sweet as this.... I'm in love with my Vibe all over again, I hope my C5 doesn't get jealous.

The Matrix XR intake is for the base vibe and the Matrix XRS intake works for the Vibe GT.The install isn't the easiest in the world, but keep track of stuff and follow the instructions and it won't be too bad. My buddy put it on, so it was very easy for me to watch. All's I had to do was buy him dinner!! LOL. He's cool like that, he just likes working on cars. Anyway, I have a Vibe GT which only comes with the six-speed manual. I did hit 110mph checking it out, but I seem to do that everytime I get in the Vette, so it's no big deal. I'm loving the intake, I took it easy on the way to work this morning and I didn't even know I had the intake on. Now, a few blocks from work, I got on it and heard that ripping sound again, how cool....

Only two problems with the AEM intake,1)You better have eatin your Wheaties to remove the screw that holds the second VSV Sensor to the original mounting braket. ( may have been just mine but damn was it on there good!)2)When installing the air filter cone to the end of the intake pipe you will run into interferance with your fog light. So you can either push the filter realy far onto the pipe (this will cut down on your air flow) or remove 3 or so inches from the end of your intake.other than that the system rocks and sounds just as everyone has explained.

Also, just how much more boost will I really get with an automatic? I mean, I have always driven a stick and I have never put an intake on an auto.
