I just oredered the Gunmetal Megan strutbar. Can you tell any gains in handeling with this. I have tien springs and I am going to get the progressive RSB and energy suspension bushings. I hope this strut bar will add more to my handeling as I am going to try auto-x this year. I did it with my old zx2 and want to try it in this car. seems like it will handel pretty well from driving on the road.

Some people claim a slight improvement in handling but in a Vibe the strut bar is mainly cosmetic. The strut towers are very close to the firewall so there is virtually no movement in this area. MadBill did some testing with a scribe mounted under the hood and found no movement at all under heavy cornering with his monster 275/40/17 tires. The RSB will make a huge difference. If you are going to autocross you may want to consider the Hotchkis front and rear sway bar setup. Here is a link to the tests done on the strut bar.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6537

that is what I thought. good test though. the ingenuity here at genvibe is crazy. Where can you get the hotchkis setup pretty cheap. ust the sway bars. I have tien springs and love them.

has anyone tried using the sway bar kit w/out the spring drop?I'm considering leaving mine @ stock height for New England terrain- i.e. make a hybrid autocross/ralleye car. I have my 18's for summer driving and w/ my steelies add some all-terrains for whenever the mood strikes me----just dirt roads and such....but add some sway bars....just thinking 'bout it.....
