My hood will be coming in this week and I know hoodpins are recomended. I was wondering if anyone on here has hood pins in their c/f hoods and if so where did you make the holes, what kind of drill bits did you use and any other helpful tips you have for measuring and drilling through the c/f.Also I cnnot decide on what style I want, the sliding kind, the locking kind with the key...I want black ones so I might go with the carbon fiber locking pins because I'm not sure if I want the chrome obstructing the color.

You would drill right over the rubber thingy's on either side of the radiator bracket. Use some masking tape over the drill sites to minimize any scratching. I gotta see how well the stock latch will work first. A freind of mine has the pins. He says people keep stealing them. Last year he didn't notice they were gone until his hood flew up and smashed his windshield while driving on the interstate.

Well I gues hoodpins ARE required. They make locking hoodpins you know....I personally don't think I'll have a theft problem here but you never know.

BASS-TART!!!!!Wait a minute, Michigan is closer to New York that Wisconsin! (removed)...that means mine should be here tomorow! That looks really nice. I'm glad I decided to get it. Although I hope, since I got the test hood, that all is well. Everytime I buy a car part something goes wrong. The exhaust was for a GT. I bought 4 different sets of S-Techs off ebay before finally getting a reliable seller. The old strut bar flexed. Now, it took a year to get this hood done so I'm hoping that the wait will be this modification's "problem/issue" and not something else like a fitment problem.looks great!I'm glad they put protectors on the corners to prevent chipping.

Dude, I have to get pics of the box it came in! It's totally trashed! and holes ripped in it, the banding was barely hanging on! Really (removed) poor shipping material. The hood was however, covered in a sheet of that thick foamy paper, then wrapped in 2 more sheets, then bubble wrapped and taped up tight.JSP also sent along a little brochure with thier 'new' products. Vibe hood not even mentioned. They must really hate us.They did form out some holes to put the washer nozzles and run the hoses through. But no warrenty or any instalation instructions or any other paperwork other than the brochure and sales slip.
