I saw the new Camaro concept car in person. I must say it looks a HELLUVA lot better in person than in the photos. The console looks REALLY sweet!!!The new Civic SI is sweet, I really like the dash. The new VW GTI is damn nice also. Walked through the scion display. I like the TC, but the screaming green show car they had there looked like it was held together with stickers. I just kept hearing a vanilla ice parody in my head "Rice, Rice baby....nutin' but Rice, Rice baby". Dodge was a quick walk through other than the caliber. Not bad lookin'. Charger still looks boring no matter how much hype or ugly spoilers and stripes the surround it with. Never should have hung that name on a 4 door car. The new tundra and camry are both very nice. The new tail lights on the matrix.......yuck! They look like cheap alcheeeeeeeza rip offs. All in all, not a whole lot of impressive line up changes for '07 for any of the automakers. The camaro was definately the cake topper of all the displays there.

Saw the Camaro concept here @ the Houston Auto Show last month. Nice concept, but I don't think it's realistic to think that any new production Camaro would look anything like it. For one, it's friggin' huge:

the rims are bad A** but the car is not anything like the old or new camaro's. i think its a bad idea to market that... but you know people have to have it cuz its a "camaro"Just my opinion though

ok ok theres a lil similarity to the oldies... but it just doesnt do anything for me. i mean it looks so big that the power it produces you would lose from all that weight!I dont know i wouldnt buy one. but the rims are a definate eye catcher!

The difference between ford, chevy, and dodge when going back to their roots is simple. Ford's new mustang is THE way to do it. The Camaro comes close.Dodge......other than the challenger concept..........NO!The last REAL Charger R/T:Charger Poser extraordinair: Why would you want to bring back the Magnum name?? I mean, the last magnums were sooooo cool.

sounds like the Ontario plant might get the Camaro.TORONTO (Reuters) - Workers at General Motors of Canada Ltd. assembly plants in Oshawa, Ontario voted in favor of job cuts on Friday, in a moved aimed at securing new investment, including a contract to build GM's new Chevrolet Camaro, the union said. The Canadian Auto Workers union said production members of Local 222 voted 74 percent in favor of a cost-saving agreement while skilled trade workers voted 70 percent in favor. The vote means employees at three Oshawa assembly plants will accept some job losses -- which could number as many as 2,500 -- to avoid the possibility that GM will shut down two car assembly plants, and to give the plants a shot at landing new investments."Some very difficult decisions have been made, not only by the union leadership, but by our members as well," Chris Buckley, president of CAW Local 222, said in a statement.General Motors has said Oshawa's No. 2 plant will close in 2008 when assembly of the Pontiac Grand Prix and Buick LaCrosse/Allure comes to a halt. The No. 1 plant is set to lose assembly of its Chevrolet Monte Carlo and Impala models in 2009.But the CAW says turning Oshawa's two car factories into one flexible assembly plant that can produce different vehicles would better position GM Canada to secure as much as C$800 million ($701 million) in new investment from General Motors.

I saw it at the car show last week, the red looks better in person than the silver one in all the pics on the net. I agree just because it has camaro on it, it will sell. I think it needs a couple changes to the looks on the front grill. It looks like a challenger and a mustang mixed together. btw the mustang shelby gt500 was amazing!! i should post some pics of the big 3 retro's from the car show...

I like it a lot too. I'd love to have one, but with gas prices surging up to $3 a gallon already again, I'll stick with the Vibe a bit longer.

A little off topic:@ MACMANIAC:You're killing me.I LOVE MOPAR!The RT Charger pic is great.Give me a 71 'Cuda, 340 6-pack, and 4 speed, or a 70 Challenger, 340 and I would be mostly happy.

However, I would definitely enjoy owning a new Camaro like that, as long as it stayed fairly true to the first gen ethic. Not bloated like the 80's and 90's versions, just clean body lines, great gobs of power , good handling, good seats and interior.
