2005 moons and tunes owners question

Could you guys help me out? I would like to know from all the 2005 base vibe moons and tunes package owners if yours came with a indash 6 disic changer or not? I just bought my vibe used last week and could of swore that the car had the six disc the day before I bought but it only has a single in it right now. The moons and tunes is the only real package it has so I figure I should check to see if it was part of the package or not. The dealer told me that the indash was not availble in 2005, but my owners manual, and my memory tells me it did. I cannot imagine that they would swap it on me but I can't stop thinking about it. Please help!!!!!

Please help!!!!!The 2005 M&Ts comes with a 1CD. There were 4 packages as I recall:Base with 1CDupgraded with 6CD & tweetersM&Ts with amp and 1CDDVD nav with remote 6CD changer.Note that you can usually pick a 6CD dash unit off Ebay for about $100 to $150. Any model year Vibe 6CD or 03/04 Matrix unit will work, but don't get one from a different GM vehicle.I got one off Ebay from an 04 Matrix and put it in my Dad's 2005 with M&Ts no problem. Works fine and sounds great.

I would forget the changer, and opt for a plug or an adapter for an I-pod. Alot more music that a 6 disc changer, and if you do get the I-pod adapter you wouldn't be able to use that changer anyway.

Correct me if I'm wrong folks, but couldn't you get either? You could order the moon & tunes which comes by default with the single disc stereo, but you did have the option of upgrading the stereo to the 6-disc.If you think you saw a six disc in there, it's pretty easy to find out whether you should have one and somebody did the ol' switcharoo on you before you got the car. Open the glove box and have a look at the service parts identification label, that will show everything the car originally came equipped with.Only bad thing, I don't see an RPO code for the 2005 Vibe. I don't know how the codes changed over the years, perhaps someone can verify what RPO codes the single and six disc units had for 2005. You can find the breakdown of the 2003 cars here. They may still be the same with the 2005 but I'm not sure since there were changes with the audio system for that year, maybe someone can verify that...An '03 would probably show something like UC6 - AM/FM/CD/W In Dash 6 Disc CD Changer/4 Speakersand then UZ6 - Premium 6-Speaker SystemHope this helps!

So you say the 6 disic upgrade included tweeters, are they the ones on the top part of the door by the window? If so then I have them. I wonder then if it was possible to have them w/o 6 disic??

Sure is possible to have 'em without the six disc. 2003-2004 Moon & Tunes package came with six speakers - two in the rear doors, four in the front - including the two tweeters at the top. For 2005 it went to seven speakers with a sub in the right rear of the cargo area. All had a 200 watt amp under the passenger's seat up front. You could have either the single disc or six disc changer with this package, I'm pretty sure.

The RPO's are the way to go. I never even knew they were there, thanks guys. So all I need now is a list for the 2005, and I will be able to put this all behind me. Anybody happen to know them?

Hey jaxy, since yours come with the six disk. Is it possible for you check the RPO in the glove box and post the ones with the U in front of the number? I have to check mine again I don't remember what there were, but I am told they are the ones that deal with the radio section. Thanks
