Finally replacing the Goatway...

My old gateway notebook, as we all know, has been nothing but a disappointment and an irritant since the day I got it. Always had problems with it, the thing is disgustingly slow, and just recently, the hard drive started showing signs of failure. And anyone who met me at the ohio or michigan meets KNOWS what a POS this machine was! But now that I use my notebook almost daily at work, I decided to suck it up, take the money I had set aside for other projects (car projects specifically), and buy a new notebook. I just ordered a new Dell Inspiron E1505 last night, and got a nice discount because my dad works for the state. Here's what it has:Inspiron E1505Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2500 (2MB Cache/2GHz/667MHz FSB)15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife™2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMMIntel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950100GB 5400rpm SATA Hard DriveWindows® XP ProfessionalIntegrated 10/100 Network Card and ModemAdobe® Acrobat® Elements 6.08X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capabilityIntel PRO/Wireless 3945 802.11a/g Mini Card (54Mbps)Primary Battery85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary BatteryDell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate) I hope that the money I dropped on this will have been well spent. I got my Goatway 6 years ago, but have never really been able to rely on it or take full advantage of the whole "owning a notebook thing." We shall see!
