Being that I see as many pictures of pets as I do Vibes--I'm just curious-------I have 2 kitty cats-- twin orange tabbies--Ghost and Darkness. They were named after the movie The Ghost in the Darkness--they were kinda mean when they were kittens. But not now---they are sooooo sweet.

I like dogs also ---put I am a cat person, they are such beautiful creatures. In my avatar you will see Holly who is 12 years old but unfortunally she is a sick girl and is now having diabetic related problems. She has the most loving personality and will talk back to you when spoken to.At present I am upset watching her go down hill dispite the Vet's care. Lucky for me I have Both a 8 year old ****er spaniel named Taz. And a 14 month old Oci-cat named Tigger. The cat has the run of the house and whoops up on the dog at every given chance.

Six cats here. We had one cat but after returning from being stationed in Korea we ended up getting one from a local pet store (Little Rock, Arkansas). He looked like he needed a home. Then we rescued three scrappers from the local neighborhood. Once we came to Washington DC we rescued two more. We had a total of seven but one passed a year ago due to cancer. We also have five parakeets and 19 fish. Have two tanks running right now. One 125g and one 75g.We am waiting to retire from the military before we decide to get a dog.

Sounds like you've got a real zoo on your hands. Lol, the website won't let you say "****er Spaniel" in here. Hahaha, funny. Anyway, I'm a dog kinda guy, my family has had dogs most of my life. Never any cats, my mom's allergic to them. My stepdad is allergic to dogs and cats, so no pets at home anymore. We had to give up a great 3 year old black lab-beagle mix that was the best dog we've ever had when my mom remarried a few years ago . She was my best friend in the world. My girlfriend and I both like dogs, if we stay together after school and get married, she wants a smaller lap dog, but I like big dogs like labs. They are unquestionably my favorites, I'd LOVE to have a black lab, though I find all the colors of labs to be heart-meltingly adorable. My girlfriend currently has a 13 year old miniture schnauzer-cocapoo mix that is feeling the effects of arthritis, especially in the winter months.

No pets at the moment. But the only one I'd consider would have to be a dog. The dogs I've had in the past were true loyal friends. The only cats I've known "tolerated" me, but were a royal pain to be in the same room with. Then again I have one sister who had a cat. Named him Spot. Trained him to sit up, shake hands, beg, play dead, and fetch. Yes that cat was shunned by all other cats. KSNeptune

MY cat is way cooler then my fiances dog. Course when you buy a cat for 500 bucks it ought to be pretty cool. He's half yellow tabby and half pure bred ocelot. He's yellow with subtle black spots and weighs about 28 pounds. He has a vertical leap of 5 1/2 feet and does not meow. He gives a bobcat kind of roar. Plus we have never had a mouse or bug last 5 minutes in my house.

At first, I was a dog person. But now I have 1 cat at home for many reason. 1- Cat goes in a litter2- I can leave my cat for 2-3 days alone without problem3- Does not need to go outside for exercise4- cats are more independant then a dogand the most important5- The owner of my appartement does not want dogs in his building.

Same reasons I have a cat! Except for the part about the owner of the apartment. Technically speaking we're not allowed to have any pets in the building, but the law says they can't stop us, so they don't.

We have a dog. 5 year old border collie/shorthaired German pointer mix. All black except for white around the neck, paws, belly, and tip of his tail. Girlfriend named him Logan. We are both dog people, and waited until we were finished university before even considering getting one. Then my friend just called us up and offered us one. Been happy with him ever since. Here is a picture of him when he was a only 10 weeks old.

Cat person, much to my surprise, having received one relatively late in life. Sunspot (he came with that name) is a total mutt (his mom's kind of loose) but remarkably beautiful with sort of palimino coloring and very subtle, almost invisible, tiger stripes on his rear legs. The vet says he's a long haired domestic red. Doesn't do justice. In any case, with that fur, he'll only be riding in the charcoal interior Vibe inside his Cosmic Kitty Carrier

quote:4- cats are more independant then a dogYou've obviously never owned a Siberian Husky! I have only one now (sadly) and she's almost 13 years old. Sibs are notorious for their independance and almost total lack of loyalty to their owners (some minor differences from dog to dog of course). But they have a totally friendly, fun loving personality that makes them almost impossible to dislike. They certainly are not stupid and I believe it's actually their intelligence that makes them typically very difficult to train (very much a 'whats in it for me?' type of thing). In fact, our dog is SO independent we sometime think she was a cat in a previous life! Here's a picture of our pals (we still have the one on the right, the other one passed away a couple of years ago )

We had a siberian husky who was totally loyal to us and barked at anyone who came near our house, that we didn't know. He had been a part of a sled dog team at one time. He died about 10 years ago from a twisted stomach. Still my most favorite of all my dogs.

Just got a cat last Thursday, which we named Onyx. He is all black, just like my Vibe (Abyss monotone). Onyx is a kitten, but we don't know the exact age (possibly a couple of months old). My wife's coworker found him around Christmas time.-Brad

I was looking for a good thread to put this funny picture of my dog.I just took this today when I was bottleing a batch of homebrewed beer. This is pretty sloppy so I put a small tub to catch any excess beer that overflows out of the bottle. I showed it to my dog and it turns out she likes it! I made her stop, though. Didn't want her to get sick.

I am definitely a dog person. Our family had many different dogs as I grew up. Pekinese, Toy Terrier, Chihuahuas, but the last and best was a Golden Retriever. Hope to get either a yellow lab or another golden some day. Intensely dislike cats so doesn't it figure that my boyfriend has 2 of them?
