Ram Air?

Anyone know of any Ram Air kits for the Vibe? I'm thinking of something simple to install for ~5-10 hp or maybe a little fuel economy.

Admin II...Yes, I know that many threads could have been saved by people looking for answers using SEARCH than just asking a question already asked and answered. But I actually enjoy it when I see a question asked that has not been a current thread for a long while. It encourages more users to be contributors instead of just users. It brings topics back into focus for fresh discussion, and leaves some "new" post for us old users to look through each day. If no one felt compelled to ask any questions for fear of being spanked for not using search, this would get to be an old dried up forum in a real hurry. So think again before jumping to the "you idiot, that info has already been discussed here before! How DARE you ask it! Use the search feature, dangit!" response. Despite how you phrase it, that's how your message comes across. I suggest answering the question instead. Might take less time.Running out of disk space? Delete some of those old threads. Surely theres a way to determine what threads haven't been accessed for a year or whatever amount of time you think is appropriate. If you follow your "Use the Search" logic, then this forum will eventually stop being contributed to. Why? because there is only so much you can say about a Vibe, and once it's all been said before, there's no point in typing out the question again. So I say to anyone with any question: Ask it. Ignore the search feature. Who knows... you may get fresh info the old threads never touched upon. You'll at least get Current info.KSNeptune

Some posts are unique and touch on topics that are either uncommon, or personal experiences. What if a RECALL thread were deleted, and you all of a sudden get the problem discussed by someone. Or mabey a dealer was flagged as a swindler and you decide to buy a car from them without knowing.Ignoring the search feature will flood the forum with uneeded threads, and make it hard for our dedicated admins to maintain it. SO PLEASE...try the search feature first. Then if you are still unsure, post your question.

>Warning -Technobabble alert!Jumping in with a minor quibble: We use the term "Ram Air" quite freely, usually meaning any kind of improved intake system, but actual ram air (the pressurizing effect of forward velocity), while sounding impressive is really a very minor benefit compared to cold air. (and free-flow, which is usually the biggest plus for a "CAI")While a cold air system can drop the intake temperature as much as 50 degrees in some cases, giving a 5% power gain (~ 9 HP for a GT), ram air (which increases as the square of the speed) can only add 1 -1/2% at 100 MPH. (If you are into Unlimited Air Racing, however, it can pick up your P-51 Mustang by ~30% at 500 MPH!)>end TB alert
