Well, it was only -5 here this morning, but we're south--of the Twin Cities. I think that's the coldest it's been here all winter too. Hard to take when it's been relatively nice so far this winter!

Not super cold just very weird weather here in Montreal. It started off by rain, then freezing rain, followed by over 90km winds....let me tell you it was a crazy ride and my car was all over the place today....The Canadian PressPublished: Friday, February 17, 2006LAVALTRIE, Que. -- One man is dead and about 40 people were injured Friday after a huge pileup on a highway east of Montreal. As many as 60 vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction accident, about 50 kilometres east of Montreal and high winds may be a factor, say Quebec provincial police. Two women were seriously injured and not every one had been rescued, said police spokeswoman Manon Gaignard."People were still trapped in their vehicles,'' she said.A witness said she and her boyfriend were lucky to escape out one of their car windows. She told Radio-Canada's all-news channel RDI that she has a sore back and her boyfriend hurt his ribs and was having trouble breathing."But apart from that, we're super lucky,'' she said. She described hearing a "bang, bang'' as the accident happened."At one point we couldn't see anything.''In Montreal, five cars on a freight train derailed on a bridge but there were no injuries and police also say the wind could have played a role.In Ontario, at least three people have been killed in a massive crash involving as many as 80 vehicles on a highway east of Ottawa.A winter storm in both provinces has brought icy road conditions and high winds.
