What is the AS1 line?

AS1 line, a mark in the windshield near the top, probably 2 1/2 or 3 inches from the top. Most windshields have it, some don't

i had my tint on for 22months and i just got pulled over and he said to take it off and gave me a summons to appear in court in february.......it was a state cop

I'm running 35% up front, 20% in the rear and haven't had any problems. Also our Vibes are considered wagons (something like a sub-wagon, or cross-over) so for tinting purposes you should be able to follow the rules for a SUV and not a passenger car.

i had the same thing as you except the far back was 5% but in RI its illegal to put any type of after market sticker tint on your windows unless its 70% visibility but thats like no tint pretty much what it comes down to is RI state cops are nazis

That sucks that you pretty much can't do anything for tint... I wonder if you could get away with tint on the back but not on the front 2 windows...

i think i could get away with it if i hadnt gotten pulled over but they have to send a sheriff to check and make sure i plled the tint so he would say something about the back windows i just pulled all the tint off it actually came off pretty easy

You going to re-tint or just leave it alone?

i wanna retint it cause i hate the way it looks untinted but my mom wants to move to TN in a yr or 2 when she retires to go move to where my sister is so i might just wait till we move then tint it to what i can there

Well, your vibe looks nice regardless the tint... I'd probably just re-tint it cause I couldn't wait that long!

i live in illinois and have 4% tint all the way around with a 4" strip at the bottom of the front windshiled and a 6" strip at the top but everything is 4% ive had it like that for 7 months now and havent been pulled over

i went to court thursday for my tint violation he lowered the 250 fine to 10 + court fees i still miss my tint though

man i wonder how limo's get away with tint there in ri, since I have never seen one without 5% tint on the windows. Or do vehicles like that have exceptions from the normal tint laws in most states?

im pretty sure they have an exception to the law because every limo has the limo tint here haha.....sucks......theres also a few cop cars with tint....they should have to follow their own laws right?
