I got an XM myfi for xmas and wanted to find out how to hard wire it to the stereo. right now it is mounted on the center vent above the stereo and i dont like the wires for the antaenna and power outlet showing. it has a line in and i think it will sound alot better if i hard wire it...does that work for power too?

You'd have to get a 12v outlet wired into the dash to plug the MiFi power adapter into, the Mifi runs on 5v, not 12v, and you could seriously damage it if you try to wire the power directly to the car.You should be able to do line-in on the stereo if it's aftermarket.

Well what would you hardwire the power to?? i dont know very much about the workings of that. the stereo is the factory cd player as well. i have seen posts on how to hardwire the line in from an ipod to the stereo, however i am not sure if that is that same thing.

If you're talking about this: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=11735That's for hardwiring the audio portion, yes.The power you would need to take the switched 12v from the radio harness as well as the ground and use a DC power plug, like this: http://www.radioshack.com/prod...earch
