I just went thru the car wash yesterday and noticed that my sunroof was leaking due to the fact that I have a sunroof wind deflector and the water will just sit in there untils the cas wash blower blows it out or I drive off. I took it off immediately afterwards. I just though I'd left others know so they can watch for that. It leaked in at both front corners and then disappeared. I have know idea where the water went adn with having the side impact airbags in the a-pillars I was worried that something might get shorted out. So the sunroof delfector is off forever more.

There are flat metal tabs that hook underneath the inside of the sunroof opening so that is where the leaks are. This is the first time I have noticed it in the past year that I have had it on that it leaked.

No the water was just sitting there and not being forced in at all.It might have been the cold temps then, but it is staying off regardless from now on. I'm liking to look of it without it now anyays.

the seal is not compleatly water tight. I'm sure that the tabs are allowing more water than normal by the seal to drain off, but isn't draining off fast enough.

This is true, maybe you should just check your drain holes and make sure they're not blocked or plugged up in any way.

I just checked it and there are no drain holes in the wind deflector and it is one I got from the GM dealership! I would think that it should have drain holes so this doesn't happen.

Oh, those are fine. I think that there should be drain holes in the deflector itself.

Hey can any one get a pic of the sunroof clips up close? Sunroof open and one with it closed? Is it actually leaking IN the car or is it just sitting on the roof?
