Automatic Headlights - Daytime Running Lights System

I thought I read somewhere GM was aware of the sensitivity problem with the DRL sensor on the dash. I just got off the phone with GM customer service. The GM rep would not pass my call or concern on to someone who could answer my question, "Do you know when this problem would be rectified?" She told me she never heard of this problem....etc. It was obvious she was screening my call from upper management when I asked to speak to her supervisor. I then called my dealer. The owner, Marcell Belanger, was not available, The service manager was not available, nor was his boss!!! I seem to be having a tough time getting an answer to what I feel is simply a legitimate question and concern. What ever happened to customer service? Has GM totally lost it? Anyway, if someone could let me know if a service bulletin or recall in regard to the sensitivity of the DRL senor is in the works, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks,Dave

I had listed a PDF document from GM describing the issue in this thread:
http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1545Here is the direct link to the document:
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/TSBScans/sb629728.pdfI don't believe there are any official documents of any kind yet available discussing the possibility of a redesigned sensor, etc. NovaResource, I believe, stated that on his trip to Tarrytown, NY, that they were looking into a switch to turn the feature ON and OFF.

HelloI am also annoyed with the feature and the lady I talked to at Pontiac Cares # never heard of the Vibe car. I just gave up at that point and politely ended that call. The service manager at my dealer said he never heard of any complaints, but would check out my car. Well from what I hear, it is working normal. I entered a search on google and found an interesting web site that is opposed to auto lights and daytime running lights. They tell you how to disconnect one or both systems. Looks like you should be fairly electrically inclined, but it might be worth it. Check it out at
