Great idea! It seems like this could be dangerous in the event of an accident as the glass will not break out and could amplify head and neck injuries. Isn't this the reason why you can't use plex or lexan for a windshield?

i agree with "idon'tknowwhati'mdoing"great for a house window, but shouldn't be in a car.

the front windsheild has a thin laminate between 2 layers.

Yep, scherry's right... the front windshield is laminated safety glass and plastic. However, for other windows like the portals or rear window... not a bad idea. I think I wouldn't bother though - anyone willing to smash your window to get something is willing to smash it again.If you're getting shot at, driving through a hurricane, or near an exploding bomb - you have other issues to deal with. I would highly recommend the 400 series all around.

the windshield is laminated for safety reasons, which is also why the side ones aren't. hey, it's your car. do itif you want.like always, pictures!
