after having the vibe for 10 months i did trade it in. i got tired to pay 466 for a car that is not really worth that much. i got a new 05 neon sxt manual. i love it. i prefer manual and is best choise and gas so far is good. if the vibe was stick i would of kept it, but also the warranty and tires and all other minor issues i had made ma changed it.

wel that sure sucks for us, but I agree, the Vibe doesn't seem worth paying 466 a month. Buying a new 05 in January 06 probably got you a good deal too.you know you can still come here even if you don't own a vibe, right?Where are the pics of the new ride?

Right, $466 for a Vibe or any car in that price range is just not worth it...Have fun with the new purchase and if you ever need a Dodge TSB or a page from the service manual let me know, I have access to all...

I'm sorry to hear that the Vibe didn't work out for you also. But I have to agree with you and the others that $466 a month is a lot for that car. You can lease a new BMW 3 series or Lexus for 3 years for less than that.My monthly payment for my '03 Vibe GT is only $260.75. I got a 5 yr loan from GMAC at 0% interest when they were running that deal in the fall of '02. The dealer bought my Mustang for what I still owed on it, so I had no debt to roll into the Vibe purchase, and I was able to make a down payment on the Vibe of about 1/3 of it's price. I paid the added cost of the extended warranty up front too, so that wasn't added into the loan. As of right now, I only owe $5432.54 (just called GMAC to check) and according to edmunds.com it's still worth between $10-11K so I'm not even close to being upside down on the loan.

I've read the Neons rate poorly in crash test. The Vibes rate overall good. I picked a Vibe with side impact bags because of the safety rating, a 5 out of 5.

well, it might be that i might not enjoy the neon since they made a boo boo... they did try to finance me with chrysler but they might not accept me since of lower credit rating for the intrest given. so if it comes to that, i will take the vibe back , since i only got the pay another 4 yrs on it.... i think they just want to move stock so they give anyone a car and make you deal later with the finance. also dealers in cali are know to say all is ok, blah blah, give you the car for a week, tell you your car was sold, then call you in saying you are not approved and need to put money or more money down...

What a lousy rotten trick to play on people! If some idiot did that to me, the best words I can think of to describe my reaction would probably be "bull in a china shop". I guess too many people just put up with this crap so they keep doing it. I'd tell them that they aren't getting another penny from me and they'd better call the truck driver carrying my car to turn around and bring it back. If they made a deal with you, all the papers are signed, and you've held up your end of the deal, then they're violating a contract. If they didn't get final approval from the bank or whatever they messed up with, that's their problem and they have to deal with it. You've got a legally binding contract for the conditions of the sale of the car. I'd call my state attorney general's office, any local auto dealer's associations, AAA if the dealer is a member, and any other auto consumer's group that I could find and file reports with every one of them.My stepdad had to do this a few years ago when a local dealer refused to give back a $500 deposit when he ordered a new Jeep for my mom and then cancelled the order. To make a long story short, he contacted 7 different agencies, including our state attorney general's office, and filled out the paperwork for all 7 of them. The dealer got similar paperwork from each agency to fill out detailing their side of the story. There was a state law forbidding them from doing what they were doing and once the attorney general's office contacted them, they gave up their claim and gave back the deposit money. They still gave us attitude about it, but he got his money back.

suprise suprise... i did not get approved for being financed with chrysler financial, but they aproved me with wfs or wells fargo wich i have now. the catch... i lose the 1000 bucks chrysler bonus, wich i have to put down, and gain 2 percent more intrest with wfs or fargo at 15.99. so 1000 bucks down and 425/month. i said no thank you and took my car back. i am rather sadened, but i already paid the vibe for another 2 month for the money they wanted down, and i guess i will keep the vibe another 2-3 yrs so i am less of an upside down...
