Just wondering since the last two times I got gas and the tanker was also pumping the station's tanks up. I seem to have a slight decrease in MPG. My last fill up was when the tanker was not there and MPG are back to where they once was.

I think it is your imagination. Those gas pumps are very sophisticated devices and can deliver the stated quantity under any circumstance.

It's a good idea never to fill up when the tanker is at the station - find another!When they're pumping into the tanks, it stirs up all kinds of sediment and crap that accumulates at the bottom of the tank over it's service life. If you fill up, there's a good chance you'll pump some gas with this junk in your tank. You do not want it going through your engine. After they finish filling the tanks the stuff settles back at the bottom.

I concur... When the big ol' tanker is there, go the other way, for the exact reasons above.

If your station services their pumps regularly, there should be little risk of getting dirty gas. I have noticed that the pumps at the gas station are about three times slower when the tanker is there. I tried filling up my truck one time, it must have took ten minutes to put 22 gallons in. That is why I try to avoid those situations.

I know they have filters for the chunks. I was thinking more on the lines of water being mixed in the gas. Which is just as bad as a chunk since water does not compress like gas. As a mater of fact this is the only two times I have filled with the tanker in the station. normaly I turn and run.

You're right to be concerned about water. The filters will pass it along with the gas even if they do block all the sediment.
