Freezing rain, strong blowing winds and no salt on the street, big truck= no match for my Vibe Slight damage to the front of the Vibe right under and around the passenger side headlamp assembly. I am sure that they will replace the front. Pics will be posted soon.Ahh what a nice scene to come to after working a long day. I think its time I get a new job lol. The trucker was super honest and left me his name, license plate number. Well soon it is off to the estimators office

Oh bummer! I'm glad it's not too bad, but that's still a terrible thing to have happen.

Thats really crappy. It was REALLY slippery today. I took the bus (although I always take the bus).

Could have been worse Sam. He could have driven over your car...Last night on the drive home, saw an accident, two cars came together, looks like one was turning at a green and got plowed into by someone probably running or unable to stop at the red light. This morning, two cars came together in the middle turn lane and ended up on the left sidewalk right in front of me but a few cars ahead. Was almost late for work because of slowed/stopping traffic. Moments later, same road but behind me because someone told me this a little after 7am... a moose jumped out in traffic, took out a car and then sat down in the middle of the road... the customer was behind me in traffic and saw it happen. Could have been me... I never saw the moose...On my way home for lunch, three truck pileup at a light but all pushed up off the road.Then on the way back to work nearly got run over by a firetruck riding my (removed) but I had no place to go but hope to god I could pull quickly into the next street and not plow into the curb.Its winter, its dangerious out there... I kinda don't wanna drive home lol.

Sucks, but it will be fixed up good soon. Lucky the trucker was honest, instead of you coming out to find you were the victim of a hit and run. Be sure to post pics of the damage in http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20955

My insurance company will take care of everything and since it is not my fault (I was at work) I pay 0$ deductable Here are some pics, trust me it looks worse than the pics show. My poor baby I got an appointment on Tuesday to estimate the damage. My wife already warned me not to get a 2005 front end lol

Very icy in Montréal and Ottawa today. Glad to see you have no structural damage.I took the Vibe out of the garage, let the rain soak the salt, washed it with warm water/Zip wax, let the rain rince it then back in the garage. Sure amused my neighbours...RémiBase Vibe, stick shift, rustprooffing by Métropolitain.

Just saw this Sam! Ouch! At least it is drivable and just think, any stone chips on the front end will now not be there from the new parts & paint!I know does not make it better but right at least the trucker left the info and no one was hurt!

LOL That is what I was telling my wife last night! Too bad the hood was damaged as well I guess you have to look at the bright side....the trucker and his company so far have been fanatastic to deal with.Miked I was told 0$ deductable and I have Belair so it will not go up next year (2 year freeze on fees) but I hate to see it the next time I need a quote! 2 claims in 7 months and my windshield needs to be fixed......

hey Sam! sorry about that! like I said when I had my accident: "**** happens" will you put a '05 front end, or a '03?

When my Vibe was repaired, (after an old lady backed into me), I asked the body shop to give me some touch up paint. They were happy to do so. It has turned out to be a blessing to have the matching paint, because I have Neptune (blue) and it has not been the easiest to match, and you will need it. I had a 2000 Dodge Stratus for over 5 years before my first rock chip, and I had my first chip on the Vibe after 2 or 3 months.

Glad to see/hear it wasn't too serious and that no one was injured. Looks like they'll just have to replace the front bumper pieces. It could have been much worse. Good luck with the repair and hopefully it'll look like new when finished.

Thanks everyone! Cleaned the car today to get a really good look at the damage and it is a little worse than I first noticed. The hood has shifted, I can fit my finger in the gap. The light assembly is cracked and some moisture got in after we washed it. Here are some new pictures:

UPDATE:Bringing my car tomorrow morning to the bodyshop (finally!) Can't wait to see how much the damage is $$$Will not have my Vibe for at least 3-4 days
