Camber plates

Has anyone played with camber plates? I am thinking on building a set for my rig with the added bonus of a bump in the strut mount/pillowball bearing location for added drop and smoother, longer stroke for the strut which should smoothen the ride a bit. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the pillowball mounts.
