Since I bought my Voltz, the Auto Window UP is not funtioning or that its a default set up. Can anyone provide some clue how to enable or fix this. Thanks.

There is no such feature. It's for safety. The window is auto-down only.

The Vibe does not have auto up and the Voltz being a right hand drive Vibe most likely does not have it. Auto up is, however, a popular Toyota feature with power windows usually on the higher end models. I would check your owners manual, maybe the feature is in the Voltz.

If it's not enabled by default from the factory I'd say it's a pretty safe assumption that the Voltz doesn't have that feature.

Auto-up? Couldn't you lose an arm? I know I probably would.

Not much need in worrying about the safety of auto-up windows. You're more likely to lose an appendage by the type of windows we have than you would with an auto-up window. The auto-up windows have added safety features that will sense when there is an obstruction and reverse the window direction. Those without the auto-up feature will keep rolling up as long as the switch is being held down, whether something is in the way or not. As far as enabling a feature such as this on a window setup that doesn't have it, DON'T. It can probably be done with some mods to the power window circuit but with none of the extras to watch over the window to make sure nothing is in the way like a true auto-up window has, it is going to be dangerous.

The way it's worded on my Lexus window sticker:"Auto one touch up/down power windows with pinch protection."

my old 98 VW golf had auto down and auto up...in fact you had to press the up once (short) to get the auto up feature going and then tap it a second time if you wanted to stop it from rolling up all the way.it too had a 'pinch protector'. as the car got older, i think the rubber lining warped a little so one of my rear windows wouldn't close on it's own as it would 'feel' the rubber lining and then retreat back down as not to 'pinch' it!so i'd have to hold the up button to force it to close all the way.

in cars that feature this "auto up" system, is there some sort of fail-safe if the obstruction sensors malfunction?
