I was going to use some 22" Anco windshield wiper inserts I happened to have on hand but I see that the "backing strip" is wider than the wiper blade holder on the Vive. Evidently have to either buy entire new wiper blade assembly or buy the inserts from the dealer. Is that correct?

You need to find narrow inserts. They are avaialable, but not as many places,
