PIAA lights.

Just installed a set of PIAA Xenon HID lights on my GT, and must say, I like them! They ran me a pretty penny, but are guaranteed for a year against blow out. They have a very slight blue/purplish HID look to them, and are bright! Now my driving lights look yellow. As soon as my camera's batteries charge and I get a chance, I'll post pics.

Ok, here's a picture. The camera lense must have been foggy, or something, but you can tell the difference in the headlights and the driving lights.

Part #15560 model# H-76E H4's. I picked them up at my local speed shop. And they are almost exactly the same brightness and shade as the real thing. I was beside a car last night that had factory ones, and they both lit up the road about the same.

You referred to these PIAA Super Plasma bulbs as HID's which isn't really correct, you're liable to confuse people. They're just regular incandecent bulbs, with a different halogen gas mixture and tinted glass to give it a HID LOOK. Real HID's don't have a filament and work by producing a metal-gas arc at extemely high voltage levels which requires the use of a seperate voltage transformer...

Uuuuummmmmmmmmm....I know. I'm just telling you what it says ON THE CASE. I know what true HID lights are, and if someone thinks they can convert to HID lights for $80 and two bulbs, they are way past confused and I cant help them. Thanks.

I doubt it. Doesnt say DOT on it. Just have to change them back to plain old boring Halogens when inspection time rolls around.

I think some of the lower-color-temperature PIAA lamps are DOT approved (Super Whites are the only ones that come to mind)...

Some newer pics without the snow. You be the judge if the 5000k is worth the $$.
