i've looked all around the internet and gotten many different answers, but i figured here is where i might find an actual answer from people who have done it themselves. what's the easiest/cheapest way to hook my iPod up to my '04 Vibe (single CD player)? i don't want any of that FM modulation crap, i need quality audio here. thanks ahead of time for any help/advice anyone can offer.

I find that my hard-wired FM modulator gives me high quality audio because it is connected directly to the antenna input in the back of the factory head unit. No interference at all, even if there is a station on that frequency. And it was only $40.But anyhow, there are a lot of threads on this topic here, just search for iPod and several should come up.

The attached link has a Scoche modulator for $30, for those of us not tied to the Apple juggernaut.

The other posters have given you the cheapest & easiest. Not cheapest or easiest, but best quality audio can be gotten from an aux adapter. $80-$100. Not very difficult to install, but you do have to pull the radio out to get to the back of it.I use the Peripheral AUX2CAR, and it works/sounds great. The iPOD2CAR will let you have some control over the iPod through the radio. There are other similar products. (You can find it for about $140)Finally, the cheapest way with good quality audio, but much more difficult is to open up the radio and wire directly into the audio lines from the CD player. Search the forums, there's a post on how to do this.
