Plaxo?

the new AIM has included Plaxo (online contacts, ect). I have used it a few times now, and I like it, especially how it got all my address books from various places and sync-d them together. My wife, however, thinks it's a scam, and they are using it to get other people's info to spam them..... I read through the TOS, and really didn't see anything that would allow them to do that, but I thought I would see about getting other opinions....

it COULD be safe, but .... are we now too lazy to remember an e-mail addess? lolplus i don't trust e-fine print. anyone can write them and post it along with some software... then BAM! someone broke into your e-mail account.

I tried that with a PDA, (an older Handspring), but the blankaty thing eats batteries! and my MacMini won't recognize it. This way all the pc's I deal with plus my phone are now sync'd.

But then he'd complain about pop-ups. So I'd remove gator... and then he'd complain about forgetting passwords... I'd be warry of giving a thirdparty all your friends VALID email addresses. I sure would be ticked if someone handed out my email address because they didn't want to use their own mail client.Gmail, Yahoo mail, hotmail, etc - all have online contact lists. Plaxo is looking like a scam.
