New Vibe owner questions

So hello everyone. I just picked up my Vibe yesterday. It's an 04 base with auto, moon/tunes, alloys, and it's painted in the best color out there...Neptune monotone. I drove 3.5 hours to trade my buick for it, and here's my first questions.I smelled rotten egg right away, and this car has 17,000 miles on it already, so I know that I should observe this TSB that I've been hearing about. Does the dealer cover the costs of this fix?Second, on my drive home, I recorded 37.1 mpg. I'd have to say that that is higher then I expected for my first drive, especially with winter gas + ethanol. I'd like to put an intake on it right away, and I am very familiar with the terms and how they all work, but I haven't seen or heard any milage claims with intakes. I know that the ECM will have to learn the changes for a little bit, but afterwards, can I expect any mileage gains under normal conditions? If so, which setup will return better mileage, CAI or WAI?Thanks guys.

would have a dealership check out that smell as you may qualify for a new converter. For the intake... well you will lose some fuel mileage but since everyone drives differently, everyone's fuel mileage does vary. I know with mine in... during the summer I was getting 450-550 km per tank. With mine out I get 600-650 km per tank. In the winter with the intake I get 300-400km per tank (car also runs in the morning to warm up) without the intake in winter 400-450km per tank (with running in morning to warm up)

You should still be under the 36 month 36,000 mile bumper to bumper GM factory warranty. Check with a dealership and welcome to GenVibe.

No $ from you.Welcome aboard!I'd wait until you get the rotten egg smell fixed before hookin' up the intake. Wouldn't want the dealer to get confused as to the reason for the stink... ya know?
